Qualifications and Guidelines
The applicant must meet the criteria delineated below to be considered for FATAC scholarship funds. Meeting the minimum criteria will make students eligible for consideration but does not guarantee that student applicant will receive funds. Also, scholarships will be awarded only if funds are available. Award decisions will be final and cannot be appealed. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
- Applicant must be a Fayetteville (NC) area high school senior within a 50-mile radius of the Alumni Chapter, an enrolled TU full time student (Sophomore, Junior or Senior classification) or full time graduate student.
- Applicant must have a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale.
- Applicant must request and complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) Form.
- Enrolled TU applicants must be in good standing with Tuskegee University.
- Applicant awardees are encouraged to visit the Alumni Affairs Office and join the Tuskegee University Pre-Alumni Club.
Items to be included with the application:
- A one-page typed resume
- A brief typed essay which must include:
- Your reason for applying for this scholarship
- Your reason for selecting Tuskegee University to attend
- University Acceptance Letter for high school applicants and HS transcript.
- Official Transcript showing GPA for TU enrolled students in a sealed envelope from the Registrar.
- Two (2) current letters of academic reference from high school or university professional. (Names to be listed at bottom of page 1)

Submission deadline for Fall Semester is July 15 and October 30th for Spring.
